Design Tips When your child chooses a You Design ItTM, You Learn ItTM or You Paint ItTM project, they can follow the instructions to create the project pictured on the box, or they can make up their own design! Here are a few ideas that might help your child design something unique! - Before your child starts any project, gather all of the components and lay them out so you can see them and they are easily accessible.
- If the project has a lot of different components, they will have many different design options. A good way to start is by sketching some different ideas to put the components together.
- Try different layouts by placing components before attaching them. Rearrange the decorations as they like, until they have a layout they want to keep.
- See if you have anything around the house they can add to their project like different paint, buttons, gems, ribbon, pom poms etc.
- If you have a hot glue gun, this may work better on some projects. Use only with adult supervision.
- If you purchase more than one product at a time, you can combine or switch components from other kits.
